A Calcutta is a golf auction pool — part competition, part entertainment. After Saturday's Round 1, every player in the tournament is "auctioned off" to the highest bidder. If you believe a player is going to finish strong on Sunday, you bid on them.
The top 3 finishers in each flight pay out to whoever "owns" them. Here's the twist: if someone bids on you and you don't want them to profit from your game, you can buy yourself back. It adds a layer of strategy, fun, and friendly rivalry to the tournament.
The Calcutta is one of the most anticipated traditions of the Cleve Austin tournament — part poker night, part pep rally, all fun.
